I feel blue, but really that’s such a silly saying! Why not purple or black? I want to feel yellow, like the sun beaming down, warm and cozy. But tonight I cannot feel bright. The ball in my throat will not let up, tightening as the hours pass by. I’m not quite black because that would mean anger no? Why do we associate these feelings with colors? I’m feeling blue and the world knows what that means… Yes or No??…
After the day I’ve had, I want to feel purple! But what would that look like? Pretty and warm? Can purple look warm? Which shade exactly would that be? Definitely not the passionate kind because that’s just not my mood. Perhaps the lighter hue to match my tears. Yes, I think I found it! The lighter, lilac purple, will do much better than any blue!
I’ve often wondered how certain colors became associated with certain feelings. The lilac seems to fit your mood perfectly.
Thank you for your comment Kay 🙂 Yes, so very interesting how associations are formed… Lilac purple ended up being the color of choice.
